Correct Craft Nautiques Press Release
Today Nautique announced that wakeskate will be added as a new discipline at the world's most prestigious watersports tournament, the 51st Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament. The wakeskate division will be included as a finals round on Sunday, May 30, 2010 of the esteemed Masters, held at beautiful Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
'As the sport of wakeskating has continued to progress and excel, we thought it very fitting that it be included as a finals division at the 51st Masters,' stated Correct Craft President/CEO Bill Yeargin. 'We look forward to welcoming the world’s top wakeskaters to this year’s prestigious Masters, the most respected watersports tournament worldwide,' added Yeargin.
The 51st Masters Pro Wakeskate Invitation criteria includes the top four wakeskaters from the 2009 WWA US Nationals and the top four wakeskaters from the WWA World Championships.
An invitation to compete in the Masters is universally considered an acknowledgement of achievement for reaching the pinnacle in a given watersports discipline - only the world's most elite athletes compete at the Masters. This tournament is IWWF, USA Water Ski and WWA sanctioned.
Once again we're reaching the time of year to winterise your boat. Regardless of how much you have used your boat this summer, correct winterisation is essential to protect your engine and ancillaries and to help ensure a trouble free start to next season.
Last winter was much colder than recent years and as a result many boat owners who had not winterised their boats came back to find damaged engines and expensive problems. Please don't be one of them next year! Winterisation is a much lower cost and less stressful option!
What is winterisation?
Oils break down over time and absorb moisture and other contaminates. Internal components of the engine can be subject to corrosion from air borne moisture. Water remaining inside engine, gearbox and exhaust cooling systems can freeze and cause catastrophic damage.
Our winterisation process will ensure the best possible storage solution for your boat. We will:
Getting back on the water
When Spring arrives we will refit all removed components and replace with new where required. We can also then:
Our prices are very competitive and we will give a fair price for the winterisation and recomissioning of your particular boat. Please contact us for a no obligation quote or to arrange this extremely important part of caring for your boat.
For the fourth straight year, Nautique is the recipient of the NMMA's prestigious CSI award. This award recognizes Nautique's excellence in customer satisfaction in the Inboard Watersport Boats category, as part of the 2009 Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program.
The Customer Satisfaction Index is an independently-measured standard for accurately assessing customer satisfaction. For 2009, the Marine Industry CSI Award program surveyed over 59,000 boat buyers regarding satisfaction with the boats and engines they purchased between April 2008 and March 2009. Participating manufacturers were required to survey all new boat buyers during this given period. In order to receive the prominent CSI award, recipients had to consistently uphold marks of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction during the last year.
"All of us on the Nautique team are excited to be the CSI Award recipient for the fourth year in a row. This award and many others demonstrate time and time again that Nautique builds the highest quality products and delivers exceptional customer care to each and every customer". stated Correct Craft President/CEO Bill Yeargin. "This award is a testament to the dedication, integrity and hard work of our entire Nautique dealer network, employees and vendors", added Yeargin.
From Bill Yeargin, Correct Craft CEO's blog: Over 84 years you can build a lot of boats. So, at Nautique we were excited to recently celebrate the 200,000th boat we produced!
The lucky owner of the 200,000th boat, an all-new 2010 Crossover Nautique 226, is Barry Bone of Austin, Texas. His local dealer, Sail & Ski, threw a party to help us celebrate the event. People from the Austin area joined us for a great evening. Congratulations Barry; we know you will love your boat!
Whenever I attend a Nautique event like this one I am always struck by the many people who come to tell me about, and show me pictures of, their boats. This event at Sail & Ski was no different with people bringing me pictures and beaming with pride as they told me their Nautique stories. Many times the story includes something about meeting Ralph Meloon, son of our founder, who is still showing up for work every day at 91!
At Nautique we have a reputation for building the world’s best boats and providing unparalleled customer service. We know this reputation is a result of taking care of 200,000 customers in a way that no one else can. If you haven't experienced the Nautique difference we encourage you to check out a Nautique dealer near you and learn what 200,000 customers before you have learned - once you join the Nautique family you won't ever want to leave!

Correct Craft are launching a brand new waterski boat for the 2010 season. Ahead of offical press release, read Andy Mapple's blog on the Team Nautique site or check out the YouTube video above.
The new boat has both open and closed bow options with identical hulls but two deck options. The common hull has greater lift, allowing it to ride higher on the water, creating a truly soft wake. The helm design is completely repositioned which dramatically improves the driver's view and the amount of storage is greater than any other boat in the industry.
According to Andy Mapple "The all-new Ski Nautique 200 is truly revolutionary. Revolutionary from not only a much improved wake shape and design standpoint, but also the entire look of this boat is very forward-thinking and innovative. Needless to say, the time and investment the company has made to this boat and the sport of water skiing makes me very proud of my association to Nautique".
According to CEO Bille Yeargin, reactions from industry representatives include "incredible", "I don’t know how you guys did it", "phenomenal" and "records will be falling".

Press release from Correct Craft Nautique April 2 2009
Nautique, manufactured by Correct Craft, is the proud recipient of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Health and Environmental Stewardship award. This award recognition is merely one of ten that the EPA has given in the entire marine industry to date; it also marks the first recognition the EPA has awarded to a Ski/Wakeboard boat manufacturer.
Nautique received this prestigious award for its incorporation of ACRASTRIP®, the only EPA-endorsed acetone replacement, into its lamination manufacturing processes.
Through the noteworthy contributions of Ashland Distribution and the entire Nautique lamination team, the elimination of acetone from our hazardous waste stream has become a reality.
Not only does this non-flammable cleaning fluid allow Nautique to reduce its impact on its surroundings, but the use of ACRASTRIP also provides its employees with additional health benefits as they are now working in a more eco-friendly environment.
"We are thrilled to be recognized by the EPA for our outstanding commitment to producing high quality Nautique boats in an environment that is eco-friendly", stated Correct Craft's President/CEO Bill Yeargin. "We are equally proud that we are the first boat manufacturer within the ski and wakeboard segment to receive this esteemed recognition".

Xtreme Gene Waterski and Wakeboard camp in Cordoba Spain are looking forward to ther 2009 season - here's their latest news
As we are due to open for this season on the 1st March, we thought we would give you a quick review of 2008 and an update on what is happening for 2009!
We saw lots of changes here during 2008 the most popular of which was the introduction of the new docks which have made things more comfortable for all with more space and sun shade! The kayaks have also been really popular giving people other stuff to do when not skiing and riding. Accommodation this year has been vastly improved with the opening of the new hotel "Al-Mudawar" in town; at last we have a lovely hotel in a central location that offers boutique style rooms in a beautifully renovated Spanish property.
So what are our plans for 2009? Well as far as coaches are concerned we are pleased to say most of the team will remain the same apart from Jack Hammersley who will now be running South Lake along with his dad Paul, so we wish him lots of luck and will miss him but due to this sad news we also have good news that Jamie Motais Oliver will be joining our wakeboard team full time for 2009. Jamie is a renowned Pro Rider & Coach and is a regular tour rider and has been Spanish Champion since 2002.
So for 2009 the team will be:
Waterski: Matt Southam & Greg Perry
Wakeboard: Andres Alijo, Gustav Lidmalm, Jamie Motais Oliver
Wakeskate: Ed "Andrew Eddy"
Guest coaches for 2009 will be Marc Rossiter, Matt Crowhurst and Lee Debuse. Please keep an eye on the web site for further information.
The other big news it that we have now launched our new web site www.xtreme-gene.com. The new site is now in English and Spanish and will soon also have a French & German translation. It offers lots more information on us and the surrounding area, it also has some great new features such and Tips & Tricks from the Pros on both waterskiing and wakeboarding and an Equipment Sales area where you can advertise free any stuff you wish to sell.
And a newsletter would not be complete if we did not give you an update on the Dam works! And yes at last the Dam is finished, so what does that mean for us? Well there is still a huge amount of work to do on the infrastructure surrounding the dam so it will be 2011 when we see the water start to rise and we will then be in our new location. Hence watch this space for info on the new club! But for now we remain in the same location for the next 2 seasons.
So that's it from us, a big thanks goes as always to you all who have continued to support us and also to our great team of coaches that make sure everyone's holiday here is memorable.
Happy New Year
Debbie, Matt & Andres
